Like most things, windows and frames become increasingly more challenging to clean if not cleaned periodically. The best tip we can give is to maintain and clean regularly. Little and often is the best practice. Hot and soapy water should suffice without harsh and expensive chemical cleaners.

Three main factors will influence how long cleaning will take.

The number of windows you have around your home, how close they are to trees & roads and the length of period between cleaning intervals

Similarly, if you live near a road heavily congested with traffic, the build-up of grime and fuel pollutants will also increase the time needed to restore the sparkle and shine to your glass and frames.

The more windows you have the longer it will take to clean them. If they have not been cleaned in quite some time, the project will take longer than is usually necessary. If you have a home with windows that have not been cleaned regularly we must allocate extra headroom to our timeline.

If your windows are near trees this could also lengthen the project. Tree sap often sticks to windows. Your window cleaner must scrub them before they are in top shape again.

Window cleaners usually charge an hourly rate. However, this can vary depending on many factors such as the length of time it takes to complete a project, the number of windows you plan to have cleaned, the height and style, and any special requirements concerning the safety of the cleaners when using a ladder, whilst also paying particular attention to health & safety requirements.
